I’m in Cosmo!
I’m in Cosmo!
I traveled to Italy in April to go to the Travel Bloggers Unite (TBU) conference is Assisi. I really can’t say enough about the conference and all the wonderful people I met there. Oh and the food! If you know me you kn ow I can always eat but I actually got so stuffed at TBU that I could not eat dinner! I know crazy right?
After the conference Jodi (Legal Nomads), Angie (Angie Away), Alex (Virtual Wayfarer) and I decided to crash our friend Kash’s (Budget Traveller) opening party of his Blogville project in Bologna. I had no idea that this detour would end up to be so fruitful, it was completely unexpected that I would be interviewed by COSMO!
Italy and more importantly this trip to Bologna was one of those moments that re-sparks my love of travel, a few nomads quickly bonding over long train rides, cheap food, picture taking and laughter. I love all you crazy diamonds please continue to let your freak flags fly!
If anyone can translate this I would be eternally grateful!

Now you’ve really made it… congratulations! Bellissimo!

Hi! I read about you on Cosmo
…and your interview was the most interesting one!
Thank you for your kind words! I am heading back to Italy in the fall for a road trip to Morocco from Germany! I would love some insider tips on northern Italy if you have any!
I’ve just sent the translation to Bethaney!!! Let’s keep in touch!
Alex
Translation follows:
What was the most exciting experience that you lived?
Rotoura water rafting in New Zealand. I was a fool because I chose the biggest jump in the world: rapid waterfalls were Category 5 of 7 meters.
No fear then?
The fear must be overcome: I always say myself get up and go! I’m scared of the open sea and I set to snorkel with whale sharks in Philippine and Bali. I got even on a hot air balloon in Turkey.
From where can I start?
From visiting this web site http://www.viaggiavventurenelmondo.it that offers you group tours, hiking group holidays dedicated to young people discovering the world. On the site http://www.settemari.it in the sustainable tourism section, you can do bio watching in Greece and snorkelling on the Red Sea discovering marine biodiversity. Finally, on the web site http://www.viaggi-deserto.it you discover how to go in the footsteps of Count Dracula in Romania through an off-road trip.
What does the perfect suitcase contain?
My kit consists of sunglasses, bikini, sarong, a flashlight and my Lumix camera diving.
A trip for 2012?
I suggest to go to Belize with his incredible walk among the ruins and its beautiful coral reefs. I’ll lose myself between the Pan-American Highway that runs through America as far south as.
